We answer the most popular questions and dispel myths about rollerblading for adults.
What are the benefits of rollerblading?
The benefits of skating exist, and they are enormous:
- 90% of your whole body muscles are engaged (the other 10% are your facial muscles, and yes, and those are straining from a smile that won’t go away).
For example, oblique abdominal muscles, abs and lower back are actively involved in maintaining balance.
From regular footwork our legs become more and more attractive, calves take a rounded shape, and cellulite becomes less and less.
- In contrast to running, the knee joints are not stressed as much because on rollers the kick is almost horizontal to the ground, while during running it is vertical;
- the cardiovascular system is trained and the lungs function better;
- you improve your endurance and your coordination;
- You just get incredible pleasure from the feeling of floating above the ground.
What if I don’t know how to skate at all?
Learn!
1-2 hours every Sunday, and in a month you will be able to skate at the “average” level.
In such cases, it is better to take a friend, your significant other, your husband/wife or children with you, who will help you to take your first steps on rollerskates, holding your hand.
A date on roller skates is becoming more and more popular among young people: you can skate, but why can’t you go on roller skates?
A good solution to this problem is to sign up for training at Roller School. The instructor in the shortest time will teach you to keep your balance, skate quickly, brake and a little later do simple tricks that you will be able to surprise others.
